ROAD RACING NOTEBOOK: Skowhegan race honors Paquette

The Wilton Blueberry Festival 10K -- Bill Yates Memorial Race is scheduled for Friday, with a rain date of Sunday. There are actually three races on the docket: A 1-mile Fun Run/walk at 6 p.m., a 10K at 6:30 p.m., and a 5K run/walk at 6:35 p.m.

Registration begins at 4:30 p.m., Friday in the Kineowatha parking lot. Last year's 10K had 122 entrants, with Cody Vachon winning the men's race in 37 minutes, 49.30 seconds, and Tina Meserve taking first on the women's side in 40:29.80.

Pre-registration is available until Thursday at http://RunInARace.com. The costs are $20 for the 10K, $15 for the 5K, and $8 for the mile. Same-day registration is $25 for the 10K, $20 for the 5K, and $10 for the mile.
