AUGUSTA –Emily Quirion had 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists as Cony defeated Lewiston 64-33 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A girls basketball win Tuesday.

Josie Lee added 19 points and 11 rebounds, including 15 points and 10 rebounds in the first half, for Cony (2-2). Hayley Quirion added 15 points and five steals.

Kristina Blais scored 13 points for Lewiston (1-3).

Messalonskee 38, Brewer 31: Kassi Michaud scored 11 points while Kelsey Mayo added 10 as the visiting Eagles (2-2) handed the Witches their first loss of the season in a KVAC A game.

Taylor Easler and Mayo each added seven rebounds.

Brewer (3-1) was led by Emily Gilmore with nine points.

Monmouth 64, Winthrop 16: Sierra Spencer had 13 points and seven rebounds as the Mustangs cruised to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Monmouth.

Eleven different players scored for Monmouth (3-0), which led 39-7 at halftime.

Shauna Carlson and Catherine Ouellette each scored six points for Winthrop (0-4).

Edward Little 72, Erskine 34: Ashlee Arnold scored a game-high 24 points, including six 3-pointers, and Kory Norcross added 14 to lead the Red Eddies to the KVAC A win in Auburn.

Kate Sawyer scored 13 points for EL (3-1), which jumped out to a 21-8 lead and never looked back.

Bridget Humphrey scored 20 points to pace the Eagles (0-4).

Boothbay 42, Oak Hill 29: Abby McLellan scored 13 points as the Seahawks won the MVC game in Wales.

Brianna Hodgkins had eight points for Oak Hill (0-4).

Boothbay is 3-2.
