READFIELD -- Christine Miller had 15 of her game-high 23 points in the first half as the Maranacook girls basketball team beat Mt. View 67-41 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday.
Maranacook scored 26 points in the first quarter and led 43-23 at the half.
Liz D'Angelo added 16 points for Maranacook (3-3) while teammate Mariah Vining scored 10.
Courtney Morse scored 10 points for Mt. View (1-5).
Mt. Ararat 44, Cony 41: Caitlin LaFountain scored 13 points to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Topsham.
Emily Quirion led Cony with 13 points while teammate Josie Lee scored 10.
The Rams led 24-17 at the half but were outscored 27-17 over the final two quarters. Mt. Ararat is 6-0, cony is 3-3.
Boys basketball
Messalonskee 63, Skowhegan 30: Nick Mayo scored 10 points as the Eagles beat the Indians in a KVAC A game in Oakland.
Jordan Greenleaf added nine points and Elijah Steele eight for Messalonskee (2-4).
Dequan Frost had 11 points for Skowhegan (1-5).
Women's basketball
James Madison 88, Maine 34: Tarik Hislop scored 14 points and Kirby Burkholder had 13 as the Dukes beat the Black Bears in Harrisonburg, Va.
Danielle Walczak had nine points and five rebounds for Maine (1-10).
