HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP

WINSLOW -- James Varney scored three goals and two assists to lead the Messalonskee High School hockey team past Winslow 12-0 in an Eastern B game Wednesday night.
Jake Dexter also scored three goals for Messalonskee (11-2-0). Travis St. Pierre, Kalib Bernatchez and Chase Cunningham each scored two goals as well. Sam Dexter added a goal and four assists.
Cam Tibbetts had 42 saves for Winslow (0-13-1).
Boys basketball
Mountain Valley 47, Hall-Dale 41: Jacob Theriault scored 21 points to lead Mountain Valley in Mountain Valley Conference action. Ryan Nicols added nine points for the Falcons (11-5).
Sam Shepherd and Zac Plummer paced Hall-Dale (10-6) with 10 points apiece.
Girls basketball
Kents Hill 37, Hyde 22: Emma Curnin scored eight points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the Huskies to the win in Bath. Samantha Larrabee added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Kents Hill (4-5) while Caroline Tortorella scored nine points and record six steals.
