LEICESTER, Mass. — Senior midfielder Ceara DiBiase scored three goals, all in the second half, to lead Thomas College to a 10-8 win over Becker College in non-conference women’s lacrosse action Sunday.

Jenn Day of Gardiner added two goals and two assists for Thomas (2-1). Brittany Fox made 10 saves for the Terriers.

Shelby Wicks made 13 saves for Becker (0-1). Kailee Ruyack scored four goals for Becker.

Men’s basketball

UNH 79, Maine 74: Ferg Myrick hit a go-ahead free throw with 32 seconds left and finished with a career-high 27 points as New Hampshire edged Maine in Durham, N.H. in each team’s regular-season finale.

The Wildcats (9-19, 5-11 America East Conference) trailed 72-69 with 2 minutes left, but got a 3-pointer from Chandler Rhoads and a jumper from Chris Matagrano to take a 74-72 lead.

Mike Allison responded with a tying layup for Maine (11-18, 6-10) with 47 seconds left, only to have UNH pull back ahead behind Myrick’s two foul shots.

The Black Bears missed a pair of 3-pointers in the final 20 seconds while the Wildcats added three more free throws for the five-point margin.

Rhoads and Patrick Konan each finished with 13 points.

Justin Edwards hit 9 of 9 foul shots and finished with 29 points for Maine. Alasdair Fraser added 22 points and Allison grabbed 12 boards.

Florida Gulf Coast 8, Maine 0: Florida Gulf Coast scored four runs in the first and four more in the second inning to take the win over the Black Bears in Fort Myers, Fla.

Chelsea Zgrabik drove in five runs for the Eagles (12-5), including a grand slam in the second inning.

EmJ Fogel and Hilary Kane each had a hit for the Black Bears (1-8).

Baseball

Maine 6, St. Louis 1: Colin Gay had a pair of hits and drove in two runs to lead the Black Bears to the win in Port Charlotte, Fla.

A.J. Bazbanes threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out five, for the win.

Maine (6-6) scored all six runs in the seventh inning.

Also on Sunday: Gardiner’s Forrest Chadwick drove in a pair of runs to help the University of Southern Maine baseball team take a 6-0 win over Old Westbury in Yaphank, N.Y. Erskine grad Nick Grady had a pair of hits for the Huskies (2-0), and Messalonskee grad Sam Dexter drove in a run.
