COLLEGE SKIING

AUGUSTA -- The Bond Brook Recreation Area, which hosted its first event earlier this month, will be the site of an Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association ski carnival hosted by Colby College this weekend.

at Bond Brook Recreation Area, Augusta
Today
Men’s 20K classic, 10 a.m.
Women’s 15K classic, 12:15 p.m.
Saturday
Women’s 3x5K freestyle relay, 9 a.m.
Men’s 3x5K freestyle relay, 10 a.m.
The ski carnival was scheduled to take place at Titcomb Ski Area, but an insufficient amount of snow forced the event to be moved to Bond Brook, according to a press release from Colby College.
The EISA ski carnival will kick off at 10 a.m. today with a men's 20 kilometer classic race. That will be followed by a women's 15K classic race at 12:15 p.m.
Action continues Saturday with a women's 3x5 kilometer freestyle relay at 9 a.m. and a men's 3x5 kilometer freestyle relay at 10 a.m.
Colby will also host an Alpine ski event at Sugarloaf on Friday and Saturday.
Bond Brook hosted the Bond Brook 10K Nordic race Jan. 8, featuring skiers from through Maine and New Hampshire.
