FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots have re-signed Deion Branch for their battered corps of wide receivers.

New England Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch makes a 63-yard completion to the Philadelphia Eagles' one yard line during Sunday's football game in Philadelphia.

They signed him for the second time this season on Wednesday after Donte' Stallworth joined Julian Edelman on injured reserve. Stallworth hurt his ankle in Monday night's 42-14 win over the Houston Texans. Edelman suffered a foot injury in the previous game, a 23-16 victory over the Miami Dolphins.
The Patriots first cut Branch on Aug. 31, re-signed him after their second game, then released him Nov. 17 after the ninth game. He has nine catches for 80 yards in seven games. They drafted him in the second round in 2002, traded him to Seattle on Sept. 11, 2006, and re-acquired him from the Seahawks on Oct. 12, 2010.
The Patriots also announced the signing of rookie wide receiver-kick returner Tony Logan to the practice squad.
