BOSTON, Mass. — Waterville senior Bethanie Brown turned in another strong performance at the New England indoor track and field championships Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
Brown finished second in the 2-mile run and third in the 1,000-meter run. She did not compete in the mile.
Brown ran the 2-mile in 10 minutes, 45.86 seconds. Hannah DeBalsi of Stapels, Conn., won the race in 10:39.43.
In the 1,000, Brown finished in 2:53.88. Maddy Berkson of Classical High School in Rhode Island won the event with a meet-record time of 2:49.32.
Also Saturday, Mt. Blue senior Justin Tracy finished ninth in the mile in 4:29.32. Cony senior Luke Dang finished 17th in the 300 in 36.97.
