SOUTH CHINA — Mallory Chamberlain scored 13 points and added seven rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead Erskine Academy to a 48-33 win against Maine Central Institute in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Thursday night.

Mia Taylor added seven points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles (3-8), while Megan Dunn chipped in 10 points.

Brianna Losse had 12 points for MCI (2-9).

OXFORD HILLS 51, MESSALONSKEE 46: Crystal West scored 14 points to lead the Vikings to the KVAC A win in Oakland. Ana Winslow added 13 points for Oxford Hills (8-3) while Brooke Murch scored 10. Kelsey Mayo led Messalonskee (8-5) with 18 points while Sophie Holmes added 11.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MCI 53, ERSKINE 46: Mitchell Hallee and Gunner Lovely scored 11 points apiece to lead the Huskies to the KVAC B win in South China.

Tyler Bailey and Jared Gartley led Erskine (0-11) with 12 points apiece while teammate Trevor Browne scored 10. Maine Central Institute is 3-8.

WINTHROP 55, ST. DOMINIC 50: Jake Hickey and Dakota Carter both scored 15 points as the Ramblers won an MVC game Wednesday in Auburn.

Matt Sekerak added 13 points for Winthrop (11-2).

Madison Jalbert had 16 points and Cam Raymond 11 for St. Dominic (4-8).

COLLEGE MEN

VERMONT 83, MAINE 46: Ethan O’Day had 12 points as the Catamounts cruised to an America East win in Orono.

Harold Hector and Kurt Steidl each added 10 points for Vermont (8-6, 3-0 in the conference).

Garet Beal had nine points for Maine (3-13, 1-3).
