SKOWHEGAN — Matt Murray hit a pair of free throws with 25 seconds left in overtime and Liam Stokes finished with a team-high 14 points as the Cony boys basketball team edged Skowhegan 60-58 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Friday night.

Kevin Kingsbury scored 11 points and Mitchell Bonenfant added six for the Rams (6-10).

Dequan Frost hit a 3-pointer with about 3 seconds left in regulation to force overtime for Skowhegan (1-14). Frost and Isaac Witham each finished with 15 points for the Indians.

WINTHROP 49, LISBON 43: Anthony Owens scored 14 points and made seven of his eight foul shots in the fourth quarter to lead Winthrop to the MVC victory.

Owens also had seven rebounds. Ben Allen had 10 points for the Ramblers (14-3) as well.

Kendal Roy scored 17 points, including 5 3-pointers, for Lisbon (10-7).

HALL-DALE 46, OAK HILL 24: Brian Allen scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Wales.

Nat Crocker added seven points for Hall-Dale (9-8).

Dalton Therrien and Derek Gamage each scored eight points for Oak Hill (4-13).

NEW HAMPTON 58, KENTS HILL 45: Nelkas Kwemo had 11 points and 16 rebounds but the Huskies lost the MAISAD game.

Trenton SirLouis added 16 points for Kents Hill (6-4) while Trevor Guity had eight points and five assists.

New Hampton was led by Yujin Yamamoto with 21 points.

NOKOMIS 48, ERSKINE 39: Andrew Cartwright scored 17 points to lead the Warriors to a KVAC B win in South China.

Noah Kershner scored nine points for Nokomis (5-12).

Tyler Bailey led the Eagles (0-16) with 10 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CONY 73, SKOWHEGAN 43: Hayley Quirion scored a game-high 22 points and Emily Quirion added 21 as the Rams earned the KVAC A win.

Emily Quirion also had seven rebounds and six assists. Hayley Quirion had seven assists while Alyssah Dennett had eight points for Cony (12-5).

Taylor Johnson led Skowhegan (9-7) with 15 points.

OAK HILL 62, HALL-DALE 39: Brianna Mulherin scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Raiders to the KVAC B win in Wales.

Meagan Crosby added 10 points for Oak Hill (13-4) while Grace Sabine scored nine.

Hall-Dale (9-7) was led by Allison Crockett with 13 points and Dani Sweet and Nicole Pelletier with eight apiece.

NOKOMIS 64, ERSKINE 30: Mikayla Charters scored 12 points to lead the Warriors to the KVAC B win in Newport.

Kelsie Richards and Taylor Shaw each scored 11 points for Nokomis.

Erskine was led by Katie Gamage with 14 points.
