MONMOUTH — The Monmouth Academy girls basketball team jumped out to an 11-point halftime lead, then held on after an Oak Hill rally to earn a 46-40 Mountain Valley Conference win Monday.

Oak Hill took the lead with 2 minutes, 30 seconds, thanks to four 3-pointers by Sadie Goulet. Monmouth came back due in part to its full-court pressure and Melissa Brassard went 5 for 6 from the foul line in the final two minutes to secure the win.
Brassard had nine points and nine rebounds, while Kylie Kemp had 12 points and eight rebounds for Monmouth (7-1). Sierra Spencer added 11 points and seven rebounds, while Daisi Poole added seven rebounds and three points.
Goulet scored 22 points to lead all scorers for Oak Hill (4-5).
Hall-Dale 62, Winthrop 14: Molly French scored 11 points and Allison Crockett added 10 to lead the Budllogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale.
Ten players in all scored for Hall-Dale (3-5).
Cat Ouellette led Winthrop (0-7) with six points.
Boys basketball
NYA 55, Richmond 32: Burke Paxton had 14 points as the Panthers beat the Bobcats in an East/West Conference game in Richmond.
Ryan Hemenway added 11 points for NYA (3-5).
Mike Stewart had 14 points for Richmond (2-6).
