LOUNDONVILLE, N.Y. — The University of Maine women’s basketball team took a 12-point halftime lead, but Siena rallied and hit a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds left to beat the Black Bears 53-50 on Wednesday night.
Liz Wood scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds for Maine, which falls to 1-7. Danielle Walczak and Courtney Anderson each scored eight points for the Black Bears.
Ida Krogh, who made the game-winning 3, and Lily Grenci each had 13 points for Siena (3-5).
