HALLOWELL — Dallas Clark had four goals and an assist as the Cony boys hockey team cruised to a 7-1 win over Mt. Ararat at the Bank of Maine Ice Vault on Saturday.
Zach Gagne and Tyler Leet each had a goal and an assist for Cony (4-2-0). Spencer Buck and Anthony Brunelle both had two assists for the Rams and Tom Small earned the win with 27 saves.
Eric Stucky scored from Bru Abreu for Mt. Ararat (2-3-0). Zach O’Connor had 40 saves.
Messalonskee 6, Houlton/Hodgdon 1: Jared Cunningham and his brother Chase Cunningham combined for 11 points as the Eagles cruised to an Eastern B win over the Blackhawks in Winslow.
Jared had three goals and two assists, while Chase had two goals and four assists for Messalonskee (6-0-0). Jake Dexter added a goal and an assist for the Eagles, who face fellow unbeaten Brewer on Wednesday at Sukee Arena.
Ben Weeks earned the win for the Eagles, making 15 saves.
Brendan Malone scored the lone goal with an assist from Lucas Grant for Houlton/Hodgdon (1-4-0). Payton Porter had 25 saves.
Oceanside 51, Maranacook 44, OT: The Mariners scored 10 of their 16 points in the fourth quarter from the free-throw line and rallied to force overtime where they beat the Black Bears in a KVAC B game in Rockland.
Kenadi Grover had 14 points for Oceanside (6-1). Phoebe Ferraido added 10.
Christine Miller had 21 points for Maranacook (3-4).
Oxford Hills 61, Erskine 25: Alex Rowe, Brooke Murch and Kelsey Dublois all scored eight points as the Vikings beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in South China.
Bridget Humphrey had 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals for Erskine (0-6).
Oxford Hills improves to 5-1.
Gardiner 83, Camden Hills 46: Kelsey Moody scored 18 points — on six 3 pointers — to give the Tigers a KVAC B win over the Windjammers in Rockport.
Kylee Granholm added 12 points and had six steals for the Tigers (5-1), while Taylor Banister scored 11 points and added six assists. Gardiner outscored the Windjammers 26-8 in the second quarter and 25-0 in the third.
Jordan Knowlton scored a game-high 19 points for Camden (3-3).
Cony 63, Mt. Ararat 52: The Rams went 17 for 18 from the foul line in the fourth quarter on their way to a KVAC A win over the Eagles in Topsham.
Dayshawn Roberts made nine foul shots Saturday and finished with 17 points for Cony (3-3). Mitch Bonenfant, who finished with 14 points, made seven foul shots. Chandler Shostak grabbed 11 rebounds and scored six points.
Alex Lapierre had 15 points and Shy Lurickson had 13 for Mt. Ararat (3-3).
Camden Hills 61, Gardiner 51: Chandler Krans scored 19 points and Colin Morse added 17 points to lead the Windjammers to a KVAC B win over the Tigers in Rockport.
Also adding to the offensive effort for Camden (5-1) was Connor Hart, who had 13 points.
Tyler Jamison led Gardiner (3-3) with 12 points and six rebounds.
Oceanside 65, Maranacook 50: The Mariners led by 11 after the first quarter and went on to the victory in Rockland.
Tyler Gilson led Oceanside (7-1) with 17 points. Shea Davenport added 11, and four other players had at least seven.
Kyle Bouched poured in a game-high 27 points for Maranacook (3-5). Taylor Wilbur chipped in with 14 points.
Oxford Hills 56, Erskine 49: Matt Beauchense had 18 points as the Vikings beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in South Paris.
Ryan Godin added nine points for Oxford Hills (3-3).
Devin Duncan had 15 points and Caleb McGuire 12 for Erskine (0-6).
Maine 76, Quinnipiac 71: Justin Edwards scored a game-high 26 points as the Black Bears beat the Bobcats in Hamden, Conn.
Alasdair Fraser added 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Jon Mesghna had 13 points and four assists for Maine (5-8).
Ike Azotam had 16 points and nine rebounds for Quinnipiac (4-7).
Also Saturday: Richmond High School graduate Mark Zaharchuk had 24 points and 14 rebounds as the Husson men’s basketball team beat Delaware Valley 80-73 in the first game of the CUA-Holiday Inn College Park Classic in Washington, D.C.
