LEWISTON — Emily Quirion scored a game-high 33 points to lead Cony past Lewiston 67-52 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A girls basketball action Tuesday.
Hayley Quirion added 16 points for Cony (1-1) while Alyssah Dennett chipped in with 11.
Brie Wilson led Lewiston (0-2) with 13 points and Jenessa Talarico added 11.
Richmond 50, Buckfield 34: Kelsea Anair scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help the Bobcats take the East/West Conference win in Richmond.
Meranda Martin had eight points, six steals and seven assists for Richmond (1-1). Gabby Theriault led Buckfield (0-2) with 12 points.
Maranacook 57, Erskine 34: Christine Miller scored 24 points to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC B win in South China.
Sarah Clough added 18 points for Maranacook (1-1). Emma Robertson had four points and seven rebounds for Erskine (1-1).
Oak Hill 79, Mt. Abram 23: Grace Sabine scored 18 points to lead the Raiders to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Wales.
Hayley Marshall added 10 points for Oak Hill (1-1) while Meagan Crosby scored eight.
Mt. Abram (0-2) was led by Alexandra Harnden with 11 points and Brooke-Lyn Millbury with eight.
Richmond 61, Buckfield 52: Bailey Johansen had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Richmond.
Mike Stewart had 13 rebounds and seven points for Richmond (2-0). Cameron Emmons added 12 points for the Bobcats.
Jared Eastman led Buckfield (0-2) with 22 points.
WISCASSET 51, HALL-DALE 42: Dale Peaslee scored 13 points to lead a balanced attack as Wiscasset earned the MVC win in Farmingdale.
Jennings Souza and Matt Craig each scored 11 points for Wiscasset (2-0).
Ryan Sinclair led Hall-Dale (1-1) with 13 points while Nat Crocker added 12.
Oak Hill 66, Mt. Abram 42: Parker Asselin scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the second quarter to lead the Raiders to the MVC win in Wales. The Raiders scored 28 points in the second period to pull away to a 44-19 lead at the half. Jonah Martin added nine points for the Raiders (1-1) while Amos Withee led Mt. Abram (0-2) with 11 points.
LEWISTON 64, CONY 63: Trailing by 17 points entering the fourth quarter, Lewiston rallied to take the KVAC A win in Augusta.
Lewiston (1-1) outscored Cony (0-2) 30-12 in the fourth, and took the lead for good on an Isaiah Harris layup with 37 seconds left. Harris led Lewiston with 18 points, while Ben Howell added 15 points for the Blue Devils.
Liam Stokes led Cony with 19 points.
LEWISTON 7, CONY 1: Matt Poulin had three goals and an assist to lead the Blue Devils to the Class A win in Lewiston.
Jean-Luc Dostie and Kyle Ulrich each had a goal and an assist for Lewiston (2-0). Austin Davis scored for Cony (1-1), while Tom Small made 42 saves for the Rams.
