READFIELD — Skylar Webb had three hits and drove in three runs as the Maranacook baseball team sank Belfast 9-2 on Tuesday to clinch a berth in the Western C tournament.

Cam Brochu also had a pair of singles and an RBI for the Black Bears (6-10).

Greg Clark doubled to pace Belfast (9-7).

SOFTBALL

SKOWHEGAN 10, MESSALONSKEE 6: On Monday, Taylor Johnson went 4-for-4 and earned the pitching win with four innings of scoreless relief as the Indians defeated the Eagles.

Johnson scored three runs, and in her four innings in the circle, she allowed two hits and struck out seven.

Emma Fitzgerald, Morgan Buker, and Renee Wright each added two hits for the Indians (12-4).

Delaney Collier and Madisyn Charest had two singles apiece for Messalonskee (11-5).

BOYS LACROSSE

MT. ARARAT 9, GARDINER 8: Ben Bishop scored with six minutes left to lead the Eagles (7-5) past the Tigers (8-4) in a back-and-forth Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game.

Josh Caldwell led Gardiner with a game-high four goals, while Adrian Heath, Jake Truman, Michael Glazier and Walker Norton netted one score each.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 18, OXFORD HILLS 9: Sydney Gagne scored six goals and added an assit to lead the Eagles to the Class A win in South Paris. Ally Fischang added three goals for the winners while India Languet had two goals and four asist and Nathalie St. Pierre notched two goals and one assist. Mikayla Turner, Casidy Charette, Brooke Quirion and Avery Brennan each scored a goal for Messalonskee (9-3) while Sydney Collier made seven saves in goal.
