HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY
FINAL: Kyle Bishop scored a pair of third period goals as the Waterville Senior High School hockey team beat St. Dominic Regional High School 3-2 to win its second straight Eastern Maine Class A title Tuesday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston.

Waterville improves to 14-6-1 and advances to play Western Maine champion Biddeford in the Class A state championship game at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Colisee. St. Dom's ends the year at 12-9-0.
AFTER 2: Alex Parker scored midway through the first period to give No. 4 St. Dominic a 1-0 lead through two periods in the Eastern A championship game at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee on Tuesday night.
Waterville had a chance to pull even with 2:40 left in the period, when junior forward Katy Massey was awarded a penalty shot after being hauled down from behind on a breakaway.
However, Massey's backhand shot went just high and wide of goalie Shayne Curtis.
FIRST PERIOD: Waterville and St. Dominic played a scoreless first period in the Eastern A championship game Tuesday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
The No. 2 Purple Panthers out-shot the No. 4 Saints 7-4 in the period.
Waterville had a few good scoring chances, including a Kyle Bishop shot from the high slot that goalie Shayne Curtis stopped with 7:05 left.
