The NHL parent Phoenix Coyotes recalled forward Andy Miele and assigned goaltender Chad Johnson to the Portland Pirates Friday morning.
In 40 games with the Pirates this season, the 5-9, 175-pound Miele had scored 11 goals and had 16 assists to rank second on the AHL team in scoring.
Earlier this week, The 6-3, 205-pound Johnson started two games for the Coyotes, posting a 1-0-1 record with a 0.98 goals-against average and a .952 saves percentage. In 24 games with the Pirates, Johnson is 14-8-0 with a 2.80 GAA and a .912 saves percentage.
