SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The Maine Red Claws ended their five-game trip Saturday night with their fifth straight loss, 114-88 to the Santa Cruz Warriors.
The Warriors, who scored 40 points in the first quarter and 69 in the half, were never threatened.
Travis Leslie led the Warriors with a game-high 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Stefhon Hannah added 22 points, including four 3-pointers. Cameron Jones chipped in 16 points and seven assists, and Darington Hobson scored 15 off the bench.
Maine was paced by Chris Wright, who scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds off the bench. Shelvin Mack added 19 points and James Mays and Garrett Stutz both chipped in with 12 points.
The Claws, who are 19-18 and a game out of a playoff spot, return home to play Erie at 7 p.m. Friday at the Portland Expo.
