Maine State Museum to host Girl Scout centennial exhibit

AUGUSTA -- The Maine State Museum will host the "Girl Scouts: Celebrating One Hundred Years" exhibit. Produced with Girl Scouts of Maine, the exhibit will be open June 23-Aug. 31. On display will be vintage period uniforms, pins, patches, ephemeras, cookie merchandise and more.

Opening day festivities will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 23. Admission to the museum that day will be free.

There will be a scavenger hunt that will make use of Girl Scout objects on display and artifacts in the museum. The Natural History and History Touch Carts will be available for visitors to explore.
