AUGUSTA -- The Great North Woods adventure of dog sledding will visit Viles Arboretum noon-3 p.m. Sunday to give dogsled rides through the winter wonderland.
Trips will depart on a first-come first-serve basis from outside the Visitors Center, there will be ample time to meet the friendly dogs and the host Lindy Howe of Heywood Kennel Sled Dog Adventures.
Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children younger than 7 or $30 for a family of two adults and two children of any age.
The dogsled experience is set for noon-3 p.m. on the following days: Sunday; Wednesday, Feb. 20; Sunday, Feb. 24; and Sunday, March 10 and 17.
The Arboretum is a nonprofit membership supported organization. Its centrally located on 224 acres of fields, forests, wetlands and botanical collections.
