Summers Senate campaign has no integrity

Letter to the Editor

The campaign of Charlie Summers, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, has no integrity. His candidacy has been bought by and sold to big money from out of state.

A U.S. Senate seat must be expensive and worthwhile to acquire.

Republicans pay for ads criticizing an independent candidate in Maine for making "millions" from a business venture, a blatant lie by the way. Meanwhile, their candidate for president, whom Summers supports, earned $20 million from business ventures. How dumb does big money think Mainers are?

Big out-of-state money is bringing Maine to new political lows. It is up to us whether we will put up with it. Let's take back our independence, rich and poor, and support Angus King together.
