One salute for Obama,another one for the rest

Going back to 1942, when I was in basic training learning to become a soldier in the Army of the United States of America, I, along with others, learned many things, one of which was the proper way to salute when encountering a commissioned officer.

Putting that aside for a moment, I will go back a few more years to about 1923, when I was a pre teen-ager. We kids picked up a different kind of salute. It could be best described a five-finger nose salute.

Zipping back to the present, I remember some kind of a congressman stating something to the effect that his first priority was to see that President Barack Obama is a one-term president. I think his name was Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate minority leader. It takes some guts to make a statement like that and I think guts should be rewarded. Therefore, I so reward him with a five-finger nose salute and I will even throw in a couple of Bronx cheers for good measure. For those who do not know what a Bronx cheer is, it sounds like an accelerating motorcycle without a muffler.

For the Romney/Paul mob, I award double the above, a 10-fingered nose salute and a bushel of Bronx cheers.

I am unable to go to Washington because of age and physical condition, so I am going in my mind and standing in front of two-term President Obama, presenting him with the snappiest militarily salute I can muster and say "Yes, Sir!"
