Nadeau considers others, thinks for herself

Morning Sentinel Staff

I support election of Catherine Nadeau, Democratic candidate for House District 54, which consists of Winslow and the southern part of Benton.

Nadeau has several years of experience as a member of the Winslow Town Council. She thinks for herself with consideration of the needs of others. She cares about environmental values.

Her incumbent opponent has served one term in the Maine Legislature. The Maine Conservation Voters analyzed her votes on 10 legislative documents relating to the environment. According to that group, she voted the wrong way on all but one of them. I would have voted differently on most of these.

The incumbent voted with a slim majority in the House to not allow people to register to vote on Election Day. Thankfully, this was overturned by a citizen's veto.

I believe that Nadeau will represent most of us better than the incumbent has done.
