Letter to the Editor
Sen. Tom Martin, Republican candidate for Senate District 25, is a man of integrity, honesty and good character who has worked hard to improve our business and jobs climate.
The non-partisan Tax Foundation has moved Maine up seven slots in our ranking. It also stated that Maine now leads the nation in improvements to its business tax climate.
His opponent, Colleen Lachowicz, wants to raise $420,000 from 67 job creators in District 25 by increasing taxes on equipment purchases. Her policies would devastate business investment and kill jobs.
Martin is a businessman who believes in seeking efficiencies and prioritizing expenditures. Under his leadership, Standard & Poor's reaffirmed Maine's AA credit rating. Maine People Before Politics recently named Martin a champion of the Maine people.
Martin is compassionate and represents everyone, regardless of political affiliation. He quickly returns calls.
The choice is clear; my vote is for Martin.
