Maloney has plan to update our justice system

Letter to the Editor

I am proud to support Democrat Maeghan Maloney for district attorney.

She has worked tirelessly as an attorney for 15 years and is a strong advocate of holding criminals responsible for their actions while protecting victims' rights.

Born and raised in central Maine, she returned here to raise her children and practice law. She has served as a deputy district attorney and assistant attorney general. She represented Augusta in the Legislature to gain insight as to how laws are created, making her an even better prosecutor.

Maloney has a plan that will modernize our justice system, prosecute criminals to the fullest extent of the law and protect victims' rights while saving taxpayers money.

Her skills and accomplishments as an attorney and prosecutor make her the ideal candidate to work with law enforcement to make our communities safer. I hope others join me and support Maloney.
