Thank you for making Old Hallowell Day such a success!
There are so many people to thank for the success of Old Hallowell Day. Literally hundreds of people came together to plan a day that celebrates our city.
First, the Old Hallowell Day Committee. From planning to fundraising and recruiting volunteers to creating the program guide -- these folks do it all. And, they do it so well.
Second, a hearty thanks to the local businesses who contribute to the day's events. Your financial contributions make Old Hallowell Day possible.
Third, three cheers for Hallowell Public Works and the Hallowell Police Department! Both of these teams were out in force all day long and into the night. The city was cleaned up before many reached for their first cup of coffee on Sunday morning.
Finally, you, all of you who participated in the events of the day create its success. Whether you came downtown to see the parade (which seems to grow more robust each year), grab some delicious food and drink, or view the fireworks, thank you. Come back soon and come back often -- or as my father used to say, "Come early and stay late!"

I think that it is wonderful. I did miss the parade, unfortunately, from what I have seen in years past, it is a parade that is quite different from the rest, I am sorry that I did miss that. The fireworks were outstanding, I noticed when I arrived, just before the fireworks, that people were mingling, eating and laughing. I did not see one person fighting or argueing, seemed to flow just fine. Kudos To The People Of Hallowell, Maine
