People here are amateurs in the war on women

LETTER

Here’s the latest in the war on women:

In India, cleric Tauqeer Raza Khan, president of the Ittehad-e-Milat Council has taken offense at a tweet by Muslim feminist writer Taslima Nasreen, so much so that he said “she should be killed and beheaded and anyone who does this will get a reward from the Council.”

What did she say that upset him so? “In India, criminals who issue fatwas (edicts) against women don’t get punished.”

Now that is a war on women; people here are amateurs.
