Chelsea is making mountain out of a mole hill

Again it is all about what is wrong in Chelsea. Let’s build a mountain out of a mole hill!

I agree that the road project has the appearance of being less than appropriate, but it is just the appearance.

When I was chairperson of the Community Block Grant Committee, we used Marshall Swan quite a bit. Not because I was pressured, but because I knew he would do the job right the first time and not stiff the committee with a lot of extra cost. And we could depend on him to do the work on time.

That was certainly not true of many contractors we did business with.

The problem is not Swan. The problem is we have no town manager.

The last several times, the selectmen have done it on the “cheap.” This town really needs a manager.

I have no idea why the selectmen have seem to have opposed this for so long. But let’s get a with it and hire a manager.

I think that would go a long way toward silencing the criticism and allow the town to deal with more important problems, such as the school union.
