70-somethings capable of 'doing almost everything'

I just finished reading today's KJ (July 27). Hogwash!

Today's 70-somethings are capable of doing almost everything. At the nursing facility where I work, two of us are older than 70. The other woman still works full time, while I work part time.

I also frequently love and care for an active 5-year-old great-grandchild and for a 61-year-old chronically ill husband.

Nobody better try to tell me that I'm no longer capable of getting done what I set out to do just because I'm older than 70.
