Letter to the Editor
This Hallowell senior citizen wants to thank Deanna Hallett, city clerk, and all her staff and local volunteers who, for another year, provided a sumptuous dinner for us. It was delicious and beautifully served.
Not only was the food wonderful, but the opportunity for such a gathering of our white-haired friends and neighbors made the mid-day outing a time that will bring happy memories to us as the days grow shorter and darker.
Where but in this unique 250-year-old city would such a fabulous gathering take place? Saying "thanks" is not enough; let's have a giant round of applause!
