Flood a good leader, good problem-solver

Kennebec Journal Staff

I'm writing to voice my support for Rep. Pat Flood, Republican candidate for the state Senate District 21 election in November. This district includes the town of Farmingdale, Chelsea, Hallowell, Gardiner, West Gardiner, Monmouth, Manchester, Winthrop, Randolph, Pittston and Litchfield.

I've worked with Flood during our eight years in the state Legislature. He's known for working long hours as the co-chairman of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee and for working well with both parties.

As co-chairman, he's helped steer our state's finances and policies in the right direction. He's a good leader, explains budgetary issues well to his legislative colleagues, and is a good problem-solver and communicator.

I'm voting for Flood.

Rep. Stephen P. Hanley

House District 59
