Christians should be able to say Merry Christmas

I am writing because I feel people like me are being discriminated against by not being able to celebrate the Christmas season.

Why is it that all of a sudden, Christians have no rights to express their feelings in public? Why is it we have to say Happy Holidays so we won't offend anyone?

It does not offend me to hear Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa or for someone to express their beliefs, whatever they may be.

Everyone is so uptight about decorating because it might offend someone. People who don't believe that the Christmas spirit is about Christ being born, they can just look at the pretty decorations and admire the colorful lights that brighten up a few weeks in December.

Let us that celebrate being Christians enjoy the real meaning of Christmas. It is time for all to feel equal, because now the people who fight for their rights are stepping on others' rights.

So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
