Letter to the Editor
Knowing to read or write has nothing to do the Carole Swan’s actions. She’s no dumbbell and was very wrong. She’s already paying.
What’s worse is she blemishes the image of local government.
It’s obvious there’s corruption (influence peddling is corruption) within our national government, less so in state (especially smaller states like Maine), and rare in local government.
Tax dollars to our local governments pay for many things: education, roads, fire, police, rescue, legal property records, planning, recreation, licenses. They have so much more “bang for the buck,” there’s no comparison.
Shame on the Swans for their actions.
