At about 3:30 p.m., Linnea Hofmeister, 39, of Vassalboro, was traveling north with a passenger when she lost control of her Chrysler Sebring, crossed the center line and side-swiped a Hyundai Tucson that was traveling south toward Vassalboro, said Officer Linda Smedberg.
Hofmeister was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both cars were destroyed. There were no other injuries and no charges will be filed, Smedberg said.
