Community dinner, 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, Perkins Hall, Penney Memorial United Baptist Church, 393 Water St.; macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, green beans, biscuits, and ice cream with chocolate topping; free; donations accepted; for more information, call 622-6401.

Community Christmas dinner, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 209 Eastern Ave.; turkey dinner; for meal delivery or to arrange transportation, call 623-9486.

LITCHFIELD

Breakfast, 7-9 a.m. Monday, American Legion, William R. Bold Post 181, 235 Plains Road; eggs, pancakes, bacon, ham, sausage, home fries, toast and English muffins; open to the public; minimum $5 donation suggested.

MOUNT VERNON

Public potluck supper and auction, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Mount Vernon Elementary School; to benefit the Russell Libby family; attendees are asked to bring a dish to share; admission is a suggested donation of $8.
