Police Report: Sept. 19-20

AUGUSTA

WEDNESDAY

At 4:06 p.m., there was a shoplifting complaint at Shaw's on Western Avenue.

4:31 p.m., a domestic disturbance was reported on South Street.

5:24 p.m., there was an accident at Cony Road and Eastern Avenue.

5:28 p.m., shoplifting was reported at Kohl's on Stephen King Drive.

7:29 p.m., a 44-year-old Augusta man was charged with theft by police responding to a complaint at Walmart on Civic Center Drive.

8:51 p.m., a drug offense was reported on Northern Avenue.

10:07 p.m., a burglary was reported at the First United Pentecostal Church on Wilson Street.

10:38 p.m., a 61-year-old South China woman was charged with operating after suspension during a traffic stop on Stone Street.

THURSDAY

12:53 a.m., a disturbance was reported at Pine View Estates on Capitol Street.

1:27 a.m., a 26-year-old Weeks Mills man was charged with sale and use of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Water Street.

8:08 a.m., there was an accident on Civic Center Drive.

8:32 a.m., there was a report of a weapons violation at Cony High School on Pierce Drive. A juvenile reportedly brought a knife to school. No threats were made with the knife.

8:55 a.m., there was an accident on Western Avenue.

9:03 a.m., police were called to Farrington School on Eastern Avenue for an out-of-control juvenile. No injuries were reported.

10:32 a.m., an assault was reported on Western Avenue.

10:48 a.m., theft was reported at St. Mary's Church on Western Avenue.

11:47 a.m., there was an accident at Eastern Avenue and Stone Street.

11:54 a.m., there was a report of a recent burglary on Cummings Avenue.

12:29 p.m., there was a 911 hang-up at the Katz Library at the University of Maine Augusta on Jewett Drive.

12:53 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire at Walmart on Civic Center Drive.

1:17 p.m., there was a report of a burglary in progress at James Tierneys Apartments on Water Street.

2:03 p.m., there was an accident on Pierce Drive.

2:39 p.m., firefighters responded to an alarm at Priceless Mattress on Western Avenue.

2:42 p.m., fraud was reported on Northern Avenue.

CHELSEA

WEDNESDAY

At 2:36 p.m., there was a 911 hang-up on Hallowell Road.

MONMOUTH

WEDNESDAY

At 11:34 a.m., suspicious activity was reported on Welch Avenue.

THURSDAY

At 7:38 a.m., a burglar alarm sounded on Norris Hill Road.

WINDSOR

WEDNESDAY

At 3:13 p.m., suspicious activity was reported on South Belfast Road.

Arrests

AUGUSTA

WEDNESDAY

At 7:07 p.m., Brian Victor Aherne Jr., 34, of Augusta, was arrested on a charged of theft by police responding to a shoplifting complaint at Shaw's on Western Avenue.

THURSDAY

At 1:17 a.m., Jeffrey J. Glantz, 46, of Windham, was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop on Memorial Drive. A 32-year-old Gray man was issued a summons charging him with operating after suspension.

GARDINER

WEDNESDAY

At 10:21 p.m., Reginald Nelson Legassey, 56, of Augusta, was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and violating conditions of release by police responding to a complaint on Middle Street.
