A missing Winthrop man was spotted in Franklin County less than a day after he disappeared from his Stanley Road home.
An off-duty Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Corporal spotted Joshua Dutch, 33, Saturday afternoon in Farmington, said Winthrop Police Capt. Ryan Frost.
Dutch left his home at 553 Stanley Road shortly before midnight Friday without a vehicle or any belongings.
“Through further investigation by Winthrop Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, video … was found at a Farmington convenience store that was later confirmed by his girlfriend as Joshua Dutch,” Frost said.
Police, using dogs and an airplane, and firefighters conducted two searches over the weekend. Frost said earlier this week that Dutch disappeared and left correspondence that led police to fear for his safety.
“The reason for the continued concern is based on his personal effects being left at his home and a note apparently left by him indicating he is a danger to himself,” Frost said.
He asked anyone who sees Dutch to call their local law enforcement or Winthrop Police at 377-7226.
“We also ask that the public not approach Joshua Dutch if he is seen,” Frost said.
