A Dresden woman has been charged in connection with a string of burglaries this summer in Kennebec County.

Sabrina Marino, 23, is charged with three counts of burglary and one count of theft by receiving stolen property stemming from incidents in August, said Maine State Police Trooper Samuel Tlumac.

The burglaries occurred in Augusta, Manchester and Wayne, Tlumac said. He estimated about $5,000 worth of property was taken during the home burglaries.

None of the stolen items were recovered, Tlumac said.

Marino was apprehended Nov. 20, when she was a passenger in a car stopped by Kennebec County sheriff deputies and Gardiner police. Tlumac arrested her during that traffic stop.

Tlumac said Marino’s boyfriend, Ben Chabot, 25, of Augusta, was arrested on burglary charges in September.

Augusta police responding to a report of a burglary arrested Chabot following a brief foot chase, according to a published report. A Kennebec County Superior Court grand jury in September indicted Chabot on burglary and theft charges.
