Nearly the same number of Democrats and Republicans had requested absentee ballots as of Monday morning, although slightly more Democrats had returned them.
According to the Secretary of State, 12,696 Democrats had requested absentee ballots from their municipalities by about 9 a.m. yesterday, of which 9,320 ballots had been returned. The corresponding figures for Republicans were 12,440 and 8,861.
Another 4,732 unenrolled voters had requested ballots, of which 2,940 were returned. Green Party voters had returned 212 absentee ballots.
