AUGUSTA -- Rhianna Jackson had 22 points and Martha Veroneau added 20 as seventh-seeded Waynflete knocked off No. 2 Madison, 56-39, in a Western C girls basketball quarterfinal Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson, a 5-foot-6 guard, added 12 rebounds, while Veroneau pulled down eight rebounds and was 14 of 16 from the foul line. Waynflete scored the first six points of the game and never trailed.
Sam Bruce led Madison with 19 points. The Bulldogs shot 15 of 60 (25 percent) from the floor.
