From staff reports
Hot pop duo Karmin, including Old Town native Nick Noonan, performed at Harrison Middle School in Yarmouth on Wednesday afternoon.
Noonan and partner Amy Heidemann met with about 240 sixth-, seventh and eighth-grade choral group members, including Noonan’s cousins, Chris and Jack Romano, said Kimberly Grover, school music director.
Known for their songs “Brokenhearted” and “I Told You So,” Karmin performed recently on Saturday Night Live, Last Call with Carson Daly and the Ellen Degeneres Show. Noonan and the Nebraska-raised Heidemann met as freshmen at the Berklee School of Music in Boston.
The group was featured on the Sept. 28 cover of Rolling Stone magazine after winning its "Women Who Rock" 2012 contest.
