CONCORD, N.H. — Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested a father and son in Maine who have been charged with crimes in New Hampshire.
Both 38-year-old Edward Janak and 18-year-old Brandon Janak were found at an apartment in Brewer, Maine, on Thursday.
Authorities said both were sought for bail jumping. Edward Janak, formerly of Laconia, N.H., failed to face a jail sentence on charges stemming from an assault in 2007.
Authorities say Brandon Janak of Laconia recently failed to appear for a jail sentence after a narcotics conviction.
The task force and the Belknap County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into who helped the Janaks hide.
It wasn't immediately known whether the Janaks had lawyers.
