Turnpike authority cancels night delays at Exit 102 in West Gardiner

The Maine Turnpike Authority has cancelled planned overnight traffic stoppages at Exit 102 in West Gardiner on Tuesday and Wednesday, but may resume delays starting Thursday, according to spokesman Dan Morin.

"The crews did a lot better getting work done on Sunday than they expected," Morin said Monday.

"They need to wait for some more equipment to arrive" before being able to resume work, Morin said, and that equipment is expected to arrive on Thursday.

The authority had originally planned to stoppages at Exit 102 throughout this week, as it repairs bridges at the exit. When those stoppages resume, they could last up to 25 minutes at a time, according to a previous news release.
