PELHAM, N.H. — Police say two schools in Windham, N.H., were put on alert after hearing gunfire, the result of five men target shooting in the area.
Police arrested one of the men, 20-year-old David Peet of Windham. He's been charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a permit. The other men were from Windham and Pelham.
Police responded Tuesday morning for the second time in a week for a report of gunfire near Windham Middle School and Golden Brook Elementary School.
Windham school business administrator Adam Steel tells the Eagle-Tribune that gun owners may not be doing anything illegal, but are contributing to the level of concern.
