PORTLAND — Portland can expect 1 to 3 inches of snow Monday afternoon, with the snow likely turning to sleet before the precipitation ends this evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Inland towns in Cumberland and York counties can expect 2 to 4 inches.
On Tuesday, the temperature will reach a high of 40 degrees on the coast and the upper 30s inland, said weather service meteorologist Tom Hawley.
He said the temperature won’t be warm enough to create any problems due to melting snow.
