Rachel Ann Wallace
Rachel Ann Wallace, 17, left her home around 8 a.m. Thursday and told her mother she was going on a class field trip, but her school called her mother to report her absence.
Police believed Wallace, a student at Catherine McAuley High School in Portland, was headed to Old Town and was in danger.
Scarborough police crime analyst Jaime Higgins said she didn't know who located Wallace in Old Town or why she was there. Higgins said she was reported found just before 3 p.m. Thursday.
Higgins said Wallace went to Old Town to meet up with someone, but she didn't know who.
