CONCORD, N.H. — State health officials say the number of flu-related deaths in New Hampshire has increased to 35 – and the first child death among them.
The department says the total is highest number of flu-related deaths in a single season the state has recorded since 1997.
The department says the child who died was under 5 years old. No further information was available on the death.
The state saw a total of 19 deaths reported in 2012.
