AUGUSTA — Maine drivers are paying the same for gas this week as they did last week.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reports Monday that the average retail cost of a gallon of gas in Maine remains at $3.60.
That's 17 cents above the national average, which dropped more than three cents in the past week to an average of $3.43 per gallon.
Prices in Maine are now 20 cents lower than a month ago but 15 cents higher than the same time a year ago.
A company analyst does not anticipate prices falling much lower between now and Christmas.
