Maine court clerks cut back hours this week

The Associated Press

PORTLAND — Maine state courts will be closed to the public during the morning hours this coming week for the court system's spring administrative week.

The Maine Judicial Branch says all District and Superior court clerk offices, as well as the Supreme Judicial Court, will be open to the public from noon until 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

The shortened hours are designed to allow court personnel to catch up on their work.
