GRAY — The Maine Forest Service is warning of high fire danger conditions across the entire state.

Officials say a lack of rainfall has made for dry conditions, with several wildfires being reported in recent days.

Over the weekend, firefighters and the Maine Forest Service were called to a fire in Livermore Falls where the property owner told forest rangers he set a test fire to check how things would burn.

The fire spread out of control and burned a shed, a pile of tires and an acre of grass and brush. The property owner was issued a summons for burning without a permit.
